Mr. D. Gnanapragasam, the founder and Chairman of IMPACTCHILD FOUNDATION INDIA, who has 40 years of experience in the field of social work and leadership, established the organization on the 22nd of July 2021.

He was working as a Government Teacher and resigned in 1986 to dedicate his life to underprivileged communities and children. He joined Navajeevan Seva Mandal as a social worker in Sevoor, Vellore District, Tamil Nadu.

Since 1986, he served as a social worker for vulnerable children. In 1991, after his marriage, he and his wife (Late) Mrs. Inbam Pragasam, moved to northern India to continue their service. He worked for nearly 35 years in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal before retiring in 2017.

In 2017, he lost his beloved wife, who had been his strong support. Together, they devoted nearly 40 years to serving tribal communities and their children across northern India.

After retiring in 2017, he founded IMPACTCHILD FOUNDATION INDIA, a not-for-profit organization on July 22, 2021. The organization aims to create sustainable lives for children through hope and happiness, guided by the passion and dedication that he and his wife shared.

Their commitment to the development of children laid the foundation for the organization, creating a lasting impact and fostering sustainable growth in children’s lives.
